Emma Anderson

Assistant Director of Annual Giving

Emma is responsible for administering the UNC Asheville Alumni Association social media accounts, website updates, video creation, and other communication related efforts.

She grew up on a farm in Madison, Virginia and was drawn to Asheville the first time she stepped downtown. Emma graduated from UNC Asheville with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Mass Communication, New Media, and Music.

As a student, Emma chaired the Senior Class Board and joined Alpha Xi Delta women’s fraternity. Additionally, she interned for the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC), Center for Diversity Education, and Interdisciplinary Department. Following graduation, Emma worked for COPLAC as a communications coordinator before accepting the opportunity to serve her alma mater in 2017.
