On September 12, 1927 the first 86 students attended Buncombe County Junior College which would one day become the University of North Carolina Asheville. More than 90 years later, UNC Asheville continues to excel among public liberal arts universities across the nation.
In commemoration of the first 86 students, we have created this list of 86 Things to Do Before You Graduate from UNC Asheville. 86 Things was developed by the Student Alumni Association to promote the unique traditions gained from the UNC Asheville experience. This list highlights some of the most treasured experiences every UNC Asheville student should have before transitioning to alumni and serving their alma mater as a Bulldog for life.
