Commencement Ceremony
10 a.m.

Location: Kimmel Arena, Sherrill Center

Parking: General parking will be available in all campus parking lots.  Upon arrival, guests will be directed to available parking, and then may opt for a short walk to the (Sherrill Center) or use one of the many shuttles that will be circulating throughout the campus parking lots.  Accessible spaces for guests with mobility needs will be available at the (Sherrill Center Parking Decks).  Parking attendants will direct guests.  Campus Map

Tickets: Tickets are not required
          
Severe Weather: If severe weather threatens, please check the UNC Asheville Website for an update or call the Info Line at 828.259.3050.

Seating for the Public: Seating begins at 8:30 a.m

Line Up:
Graduates - 9 a.m., Student Recreation Center
Faculty - 9:30 a.m., Sherrill Center, Third Floor Lobby
Platform Party - 9:30 a.m., Sherrill Center, Health & Wellness Café

Length of Ceremony: The program will last approximately one hour.

Reception: A reception for graduates and their families sponsored by the UNC Asheville Alumni Association will be held following the ceremony.

ASL Services: An American Sign Language interpreter will translate the Commencement Ceremony.  Ask an usher for special seating.

Other Information

Invitations: University-authorized invitations may be purchased online through Balfour.

Photographs: Graduates' photographs will be taken as they receive their diplomas by GradImages.  Information will be sent from GradImages, by mail and email, to each graduate regarding purchase.

Video: DVD copies of the Commencement Ceremony will be available 3-4 weeks after the ceremony. Please email your name and address to media_request@unca.edu. You may also drop by the TLT desk (Ramsey Library Room 002) and pick up a DVD during regular library hours. DVDs are $5 per copy.
